Urban Honolulu Background Check

An Urban Honolulu background check starts right in the heart of the city where the state's main criminal history agency and the lead police department sit blocks apart. First Circuit Court and Urban Honolulu Court Records

Urban Honolulu is home to the First Circuit Court at Ka'ahumanu Hale, 777 Punchbowl Street, Honolulu, HI 96813. This is the biggest and busiest court in the state. It handles felony criminal cases, civil matters, family law, land court, and tax appeals for all of Oahu.

For an Urban Honolulu background check that leans on case-level court records, the state provides eCourt Kokua at no cost. You can search by party name, case ID, or citation number. Downloadable documents with a PDF icon cost $3 for 1 to 30 pages, plus 10 cents per page after that. A yearly plan is $500 for unlimited single-document downloads or $125 per quarter.

Certified court papers are only sold in paper form at the courthouse. eBench Warrants is a separate First Circuit tool, but only law enforcement and criminal justice staff can use it. Basic warrant info that shows up in a regular Urban Honolulu background check can be found through eCourt Kokua.
